5 Lighting Tips for Seniors

  1. Increase light - up to 40% more after 60 than when you were 20. Prevents falls and improves visibilty.

  2. Increase blue light - see details better, reduce eyestrain switching up the kelvin or color temperature from typical 2700K cozy to 4000K or 5000K bluer end of spectrum

  3. Eliminate glare - Blinding white light from LEDs is too harsh from us as we age and can cause disorientation.

  4. Reduce bulb replacements with LEDs so there is less maintenance required ie; climbing ladders etc not safe!

  5. Add motion sensors in locations like stairways, bathrooms and even under the bed for nightly trips to the bathroom.
